Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Kaygusuz graduated from Istanbul Technical University with a double major in Chemistry and Physics Engineering and completed his master's degree at the same university. He received a joint doctoral degree (Dr. / Dr. rer. nat.) in the field of physical chemistry from Berlin Technical University and ITU in 2017.
Since 2017, he has been working at Altınbaş University, Department of Basic Sciences.
His research activities focus on both experimental and computational chemistry: synthesis of multifunctional biopolymer composites, chemometrics and simulation of physicochemical structures. He received different scholarship and project support from various institutions such as TÜBİTAK and İSTKA. He published 35 scientific articles and his work has been cited more than 1,200 times.
Currently Dr. Kaygusuz is the Dean of Research at Altınbaş University and also an affiliated researcher at Sabancı University Nanotechnology Application and Research Center.
