Biography
I am a physical chemist with a strong interdisciplinary background, holding a double major in chemistry and physics engineering from Istanbul Technical University (ITU). I received a joint doctoral degree in physical chemistry from TU Berlin and ITU in 2017.
Since then, I have been a faculty member at Altınbaş University, where I currently serve as the Dean of Research.
My research bridges experimental and computational chemistry, focusing on the synthesis of multifunctional biopolymer composites, chemometric analysis, and simulation of physicochemical systems.
My current work involves developing functional materials and data-driven approaches for chemical and biomedical applications.
In addition, I have participated in several student and public outreach projects, and I regularly give invited talks and popular science seminars.

Some of my "academic grandparents" (advisors of doctoral advisors) are Fritz Arndt, Viktor Meyer, Robert Bunsen, Friedrich Stromeyer, Georg Bredig, Wilhelm Ostwald, Carl Schmidt and Justus von Liebig. The list traces back to medieval times.
